Students solar photography images to be exhibited
Distant Suns: an exhibition of a series of solargraphs taken by Keith James is to include images produced by sixth form photography students from St. George's Academy
ArtsNK has been working with Keith James, Photographer and Senior Lecturer at Lincoln University. Keith visited St. George’s Academy to run a workshop on producing solar photography to some of the sixth form students studying BTEC level 3 Photography.
The process involved the students making their own pinhole camera (using a drinks can) with light sensitive paper inside. Each “camera” was then left outside for several months to record the path of the sun across the sky.
Keith is exhibiting his solar photography at Whisby Natural World in Spring 2015 which will also include the solar photographs produced by the sixth form students from the workshop at St. George’s. Click here
